Meet the Team

John Gobron
Chief Executive Officer
Prior to Aventura, John led Symantec’s $130M Americas Healthcare Vertical and also performed as the EMEA General Manager at Sentillion where he helped facilitate the company’s acquisition by Microsoft. He then stayed on to lead Microsoft’s Health Solutions business in the UK.
John also served as CEO of USTeleHealth, a leading telephone nurse triage company, and led the company from startup to a successful acquisition.

Jacci Patterson, RN
VP of Clinical Content
Jacci transitioned into the field of pharmacovigilance in 2006 when she began working in drug safety on clinical trials for experimental medications. Most of the clinical studies were adult oncology but also included neurologic, endocrine, and reproductive indications. She gained global experience while working with foreign physicians and hospitals that participated in the clinical trials.
In 2013 she joined the SafeDose team as the Vice President of Clinical Content and provides nursing review of the system.

Robert Luten, MD

He has edited several textbooks and has published many articles related to childhood emergencies. He is the author and principal instructor of the pediatric section of the National Emergency Airway Management course.
He has taken a leadership role in childhood emergency initiatives in the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, the American College of Emergency Physicians and other national organizations. He was a charter member of the Pediatric Subcommittee on Childhood Resuscitation of the American Heart Association, co-author and co-founder of the PALS and leading author and editor of the APLS jointly sponsored by the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He was the chairman of the “Year of the Child” campaign in 1990, a national promotional effort concerning childhood emergencies directed at the medical community and the lay public.
Luten is the creator and author of the studies that formed the basis of the Broselow Tape and the Broselow-Luten Color-coded System, designed to reduce medical errors and facilitate pediatric medical care.
He is considered a pioneer in the newly created specialty of pediatric emergency medicine and was a founding board member of that specialty. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, and Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
