Will partner with nationally known healthcare industry champion for best-in-class training

Southborough, MA, December 23, 2020 — SafeDose, a pioneer in the safe, simple, and standardized delivery of pediatric medication in acute care settings, has been named to the MassChallenge HealthTech (MCHT) 2021 digital health startup cohort. As a member of the cohort, SafeDose will work with a nationally known healthcare industry partner to expand the awareness of the SafeDose Enterprise platform and capabilities while exploring potential medication safety use cases in a hospital setting. SafeDose is one of 30 companies chosen to be part of the cohort which was selected from 380 applicants from more than 35 countries and 210 cities.

“This is a fantastic validation of our existing work of helping to provide safe medication administration and furthers our mission of keeping children safe not only in world-class facilities but in every institution regardless of their level of resources,” said John Gobron, CEO of SafeDose, Inc. “Working with our champion, we will be able to better codify our solutions and make them available to organizations in every healthcare setting.”

The city of Boston, the Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI), the Massachusetts Competitive Partnership, and MassChallenge established the digital health innovation hub MassChallenge HealthTech in 2009 to support and accelerate high-impact digital health startups. Every startup receives at least one partnership through the MCHT match-making process and receives best-in-class training through the MCHT evidence-based accelerator program.

“This year’s MassChallenge HealthTech cohort is our most competitive and diverse group to date,” said Nick Dougherty, Managing Director of MCHT. “The 30 startups represent some of the world’s most innovative businesses that are transforming healthcare. We are excited about what our entrepreneurs will accomplish with their Champion partners in this upcoming program year.”
