Code sheets are available for resuscitation, RSI, seizures, and anaphylaxis and can be printed on-demand, inventoried in advance, and used to create regularly and easily updated code books.

How to Access SafeDose

SafeDose Internet

Direct Internet

The most-used mechanism to access SafeDose is via our web-based application, giving secure, direct access to our SafeDose platform and associated formulary database. You will be provided a customized link by SafeDose which allows access without the need to login individually. For convenience, some customers choose to attach the provided link to an icon on shared computers or as a hyperlink that is placed inside of the EHR. Each SafeDose release is tested and verified to work on Chrome, Edge and Safari.

SafeDose Mobile or Desktop

Mobile or Desktop Browser

Users may access SafeDose via a mobile browser or a desktop browser, and the content will adjust to the screen size. This is used most frequently if the hospital decides to purchase tablets to keep on crash carts to quickly access SafeDose.

Mobile Application

SafeDose offers two mobile applications, one for iPhone and one for Android, on their respective stores. Downloading the application is free and can be used to access SafeDose using any currently active login credentials. Once your hospital or department purchases SafeDose, all employees can create a personal SafeDose account by using their hospital-based email address. They will receive a verification link and then create their own password. The mobile application requires the user to log in for each use.

Integration links into the EMR are generally initiated from within the EMR workflow and may require customization from the EMR provider. We have worked with Epic and Cerner for integration.

Onboarding Overview

Customization

Many clients choose to have the SafeDose team customize their software content. This includes code sheets, medication formularies, educational content, and treatment algorithms that align with their hospital or health system’s policies and procedures. Ten hours of customization are included in a new SafeDose contract, any customization work requiring more than ten hours will be addressed with a Statement of Work.

Before the contract is signed, request a temporary SafeDose link to look through the formulary and educational content.

Decide what requests will be made for customization and send these to the SafeDose team for review.

SafeDose will provide a Statement of Work and estimated completion time for customization.

Designated team members will be given access to a test server to review the customization project and request further changes before go live at your facility

Funding Sources

Budget
Many of our clients budget SafeDose from one or more departments. The most frequently used departments are pharmacy, ED, peds, PICU, transport, or risk management.

Foundation
Many of our clients request funding from their hospital foundations. Discounts are given with a foundation payment for a 3-year contract with payment obtained upfront.
